"A French Bonbon Box"
Sewing Box with Sewing Case

This project was inspired by an antique lithograph French bonbon box. Since chocolate was a very expensive luxury, presentation was very important. Because of its beauty, the bonbon box would be cherished and saved to be used for other purposes such as a sewing box.
In addition to making this lovely sewing box, stitched on all four sides, you will make a beautiful silk lined sewing case which is housed inside the box. The project will include tent, Rococo, stem, and split stitches worked on 32-count linen with silk threads.
